In terms of tools, you'll need to have Node with NPM installed and your favourite text editor ready to go, but that's pretty much it. If you're looking for a good introduction to webapp development with React, Webpack, and ES6, I suggest taking a look at the SurviveJS books. Even if you don't, you should be able to pick up the basics as we go. We'll be using Node, ES6, React, Webpack, and Babel, so if you have some familiarity with these tools, you'll have no trouble following along. This tutorial is going to be most useful for developers who know how to write JavaScript aplications.
